9-11 Memorial

The City of Pompano Beach’s Fire Department has acquired a piece of steel from the World Trade Center for use in a memorial for the 343 first responders that died saving lives on September 11, 2001. The City will commission an artist to integrate the piece of steel into an artistic memorial.

Oasis Sculpture

Budget: $30,000

The City of Pompano Beach will commission an artist/artist team for the design and installation of a sculpture that will be located at the Oasis Water Plant. This project must focus on water education and the Oasis Reuse Program in the City. For more information and to apply for this Call, visit

Artists Alley Mural

The City of Pompano Beach will commission an emerging artist for the design and installation of a mural that will be located on an exterior wall behind the Bailey Contemporary Arts Building located at 41 NE 1st St., Pompano Beach, Florida. The mural should focus on the idea of playing with perspective. The City plans on continuing to expand the area into a mural alley entitled Artists Alley. Pompano Beach Cultural Arts Award

The City of Pompano Beach Cultural Arts Committee is placing a Call to Artists in various disciplines to apply for the first annual Cultural Arts Award in the following area of the arts: spoken word, theater dance, visual arts and music.

The Cultural Arts Committee will honor artists residing in Pompano Beach for their outstanding achievements in the Cultural Arts field. Traffic Signal Box Wraps Round 2

The City of Pompano Beach will wrap digital versions of artworks on 45 traffic signal boxes located throughout the City. The goal of the program is to add an attractive and creative touch along our corridors by transforming a traffic signal box into a piece of art. This is the second round to a project started in 2015. This beautification effort will enhance the experience of all those visiting the corridors and will help to prevent vandalizing of boxes.
